Compared with Austenitic stainless steel, its strength is higher and its resistance to intercrystalline corrosion and chloride stress corrosion is improved obviously.Especially under the condition of harsh medium environment (such as seawater, high chloride ion content), the anti-pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion and corrosion fatigue performance of duplex stainless steel is obviously better than ordinary Austenitic stainless steel, which can be comparable with high-alloy Austenitic stainless steel.
